Frontend Software Engineer

We're looking for a frontend engineer to help build out our web application solutions. Not only will you be developing the solutions, but you will take part in high level conversations about how to best architect these applications so that they can easily scale. The BetterHealthcare engineering team has a diverse background, with our members coming to software engineering as a second career. Our varied backgrounds allow us to approach problems with a fresh perspective.

BetterHealthcare is a fully remote team with team members in the United States, Ukraine, Spain, and Colombia. While we are based in New York City, you will have the freedom to work from anywhere you choose!

Here's what you'll do as part of the team:

• Build out frontend applications from designs using modern React patterns
• Work on our reusable component library that will be used throughout all of our applications
• Participate in conversations about how to best organize our new and existing SaaS applications to that they can scale
• Work with backend engineers to help shape the internal API that you will use to build out the SaaS applications
• Work with the designer to create designs that are both user friendly and developer friendly
• Help interview and onboard future hires to the frontend team

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful:

• Extensive experience working with JavaScript and Typescript
• Built out large scale applications in React or an equivalent framework such as Angular or Vue
• Experience interfacing with internal and third party APIs using GraphQL
• HTML/CSS knowledge
• Experience working from designs
• Testing frontend applications with frameworks such as Cypress or Testing Library
